Questions and answers about our program.

  • Season dates

Our 2022-2023 season will kick off with a camp on November 5th from 10 a.m.-12 noon at Fairview High School. Regular practices will start the week of November 7th on Mondays at Fairview H.S., Wednesdays & Thursdays at Boulder H.S. – 6:30-8:00 p.m. The 2022-23 season ends with the State Finals Tournament on February 26, 2023. Check the event schedule for a partial list of practices and competitions.

  • Practice Schedule

We usually practice three days a week, starting the week of November 7th on Mondays at Fairview H.S., Wednesdays & Thursdays at Boulder H.S. – 6:30-8:00 p.m. We typically follow school schedules, so when schools are closed for holiday weeks or weather-related closures, we will not hold practice.

  • Costs

There are three components to the cost of the wrestling season. The first is a USA Wrestling Card, which currently costs $20 per year, per wrestler.  The second is our club fee, which is $250 for the season. The third will be the costs of tournaments, which you will pay on your own and is expected to be $25 per tournament.  We have t-shirts, sweatshirts and singlets, and a fair number of extra wrestling shoes that will be provided for free this year!

Importantly, we offer a limited number of “scholarships” to assist with the club fee for anyone that is unable to pay the regular fees, please contact us for more information.  No child will be prevented from wrestling due to cost

  • Competitions

We expect to compete twice in December, and four times between January and March.  We are a member of, and compete in, the Peak2Peak Youth Wrestling League.  The regular season tournaments will be hosted by various league clubs in Colorado.  The final state tournament will be held at the Denver Coliseum. There is a special “rookies only” tournament for first-year wrestlers only.  We are finalizing our competition schedule and will update our event schedule soon.  Wrestlers are expected to participate in all six tournaments. Additional opportunities to compete inside and outside of Colorado may become available.
