Questions and answers about our program

  • Season Dates

We divide the year into ‘seasons’ and offer a pre-season (September-October), the regular season (November-May), spring season (April-May) and summer season (June-July).

There is no mandatory attendance policy but we encourage you to attend as many practices as possible.

Competitions are available but are not required.

  • Practice Schedule

We usually practice three days a week.  We train at Boulder High School.

When schools are closed for holiday weeks or weather-related closures, we will not hold practice.

We strongly encourage all wrestlers to attend all practices but we do not have a mandatory attendance policy.

The Boulder High School wrestling room is not in the main building. The wrestling room is in a separate building just to the east of the football field.

  • Costs

Your wrestler will need a USA Wrestling Card, which currently costs $20 per year, per wrestler.

Our club fees for each season vary based on the length of the season.

Typically average monthly cost is $150/month (or less) meaning the cost for a two-month season is $300.

If you have one registered wrestler the next sibling is 50% off and the third sibling (and all those after) are free!

We have a limited supply of used wrestling shoes available on a first come, first served basis.

We supply wrestling ‘singlets’ for competition at no additional charge.

Importantly, we offer a limited number of “scholarships” to assist with the club fee for anyone that is unable to pay the regular fees, please contact us for more information.  No child will be prevented from wrestling due to cost

  • Competitions

We plan on attending 3-5 tournaments during the regular season.  There may be optional tournaments during the other seasons.

The cost of regular season tournaments is covered by the club.

We expect all our wrestlers to compete in tournaments but they are not mandatory.
